This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Serve as the expert on SAP UK Payroll functional needs, with a focus on Public Sector Payroll.
• Assess annual changes in UK payroll legislation and convert them into Agile user stories, functional specifications, and SAP configurations.
• Configure SAP HCM Payroll to implement legislative updates and respond to customer change requests.
• Collaborate closely with development teams throughout the Agile delivery lifecycle to design and provide high-quality payroll solutions.
• Interact directly with UK customers to understand intricate payroll requirements and offer reliable functional advice.
• Create clear functional documentation and effectively communicate complex legislative requirements to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Carry out functional validation, unit testing, and support end-to-end testing to ensure adherence to legislation.
• Guide QA teams on payroll testing methodologies, expected results, and best practices.
• Offer reliable advice to customers regarding payroll legislation, SAP Payroll functionalities, and best practices.
• Assist customer projects that require specialized SAP Payroll functional knowledge.
• Support complex Public Sector payroll scenarios, including: RTI (Real Time Information), Multiple Employment Payroll sequencing, Backdated pay awards, Payroll Administration, and Legislative compliance.
• Contribute to ongoing improvements in our Tax, Legal & Regulatory services by exploring opportunities to utilize AI and automation.
• Over 10 years of SAP Functional experience.
• Strong SAP HCM Payroll configuration expertise.
• Experience in supporting SAP ECC Payroll environments.
• Comprehensive knowledge of UK payroll legislation and annual updates.
• Proven experience in delivering end-to-end payroll processing.
• Ability to produce functional specifications and translate legislation into SAP solutions.
• Strong understanding of: RTI (Real Time Information), Payroll sequencing, Payroll administration, and Multiple Employment Public Sector payroll requirements.
• Experience working with Local Government, Education, NHS, or other Public Sector organizations is highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Strong communication skills, capable of clearly explaining complex payroll legislation.
• Experience working within Agile delivery teams.
