SAP DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and sustain CI/CD pipelines in GitLab to automate the build, testing, and deployment workflows.

• Integrate and oversee toolchains such as Jira, SAP Solution Manager (Solman) CHaRM, SonarQube, and Fortify DAST.

• Collaborate with SAP ABAP developers, functional teams, and security stakeholders to convert requirements into automated pipeline functionalities.

• Analyze alternative DevOps tools and propose modern, open-source solutions to improve the pipeline.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for pipeline configurations, architecture, and utilization by the development team.

• Oversee automated testing and security scanning processes, ensuring compliance with code quality and security standards.

• Offer strategic direction for the advancement of the DevSecOps platform, including enhancements, scaling, and integration of new tools.

• Mentor and educate team members on DevOps best practices and the effective use of the pipeline.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–7+ years of experience in a DevOps or related engineering position.

• Demonstrated experience in designing and managing intricate CI/CD pipelines, ideally in GitLab.

• Practical experience with Jira, SonarQube, Fortify (or similar SAST/DAST tools), and automation of pipelines.

• Strong comprehension of DevSecOps principles and the implementation of security within automated pipelines.

• Experience in integrating testing frameworks and automated security scanning tools.

• Excellent documentation, analytical, and troubleshooting abilities.
