SAP BW Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt.

📋 Description

• Design, create, and maintain SAP BW data models, including InfoProviders, DSOs, ADSOs, and CompositeProviders.

• Create and manage BW transformations, Data Transfer Processes (DTPs), and process chains.

• Set up and oversee data extraction from SAP ERP and SAP BW using Theobald tools.

• Facilitate SAP BW integration with Azure through Velocity and SAP BDC Datasphere.

• Diagnose and resolve issues related to data loads, transformations, and data quality; conduct root cause analysis and implement sustainable solutions.

• Enhance SAP BW performance, optimize data loads, and manage data volumes effectively.

• Provide L1.5, L2, and L3 production support for incidents, problems, and service requests.

• Implement enhancements and assist with testing, releases, and deployments.

• Record technical solutions, configurations, and support procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Mid-level experience in SAP BW development and production support.

• Practical experience with SAP BW modeling components, such as InfoProviders, DSOs, ADSOs, and CompositeProviders.

• Strong hands-on experience with SAP BW transformations, DTPs, and process chains.

• Experience in ABAP/BW troubleshooting, performance analysis, and resolving SAP BW data-loading issues.

• Familiarity with configuring and supporting Theobald extraction tools, along with solid SQL expertise.

• Experience in supporting SAP-to-Azure integration utilizing Velocity and SAP Datasphere.

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional technical teams and support or operations teams to troubleshoot SAP BW issues, resolve data-loading challenges, and deliver enhancements.

• Proficient in business-level English for technical communication, documentation, and collaboration with project teams in Dubai.

• Professional proficiency in Arabic for collaboration with local teams.

• Willingness to work during hours that overlap with the Dubai-based project team in Gulf Standard Time.

• Experience in coordinating with SAP ERP teams and reporting or analytics stakeholders to support data integration and downstream reporting requirements is a plus.
