SAP ABAP – Transportation Management, TM

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain SAP ABAP solutions for SAP Transportation Management (TM)

• Collaborate with SAP TM functional consultants to convert functional specifications into technical solutions

• Develop and enhance TM functionalities related to Freight Units, Freight Orders, Freight Bookings, Transportation Requests, Charges, Planning, and Execution processes

• Create and support interfaces and integrations between SAP and external systems

• Develop and improve Adobe Forms, output solutions, reports, workflows, background jobs, and custom applications

• Debug and analyze intricate TM technical issues across integrated systems

• Analyze and optimize the performance of ABAP programs, CDS views, database queries, interfaces, and batch processes

• Prepare technical specification documents based on functional specifications

• Conduct code reviews to ensure compliance with Clean Core and ABAP Cloud-ready development standards

• Execute technical unit testing and support FUT, SIT, UAT, defect resolution, cutover, and production stabilization

• Offer technical guidance and mentorship to junior ABAP developers

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong practical experience with SAP ABAP for SAP Transportation Management (TM)

• Proficient in BOPF, including determinations, validations, actions, queries, and enhancements

• Experience with ABAP Objects (OO ABAP), CDS Views, AMDP, RAP/OData services, and S/4HANA development technologies

• Solid experience with Enhancement Framework, BAdIs, enhancement spots, implicit/explicit enhancements, Custom Fields and Logic (CFL), and S/4HANA extensibility methods

• Experience in developing and supporting interfaces using IDocs, RFCs, APIs, web services, OData, proxies, and SAP CPI/Integration Suite

• Familiarity with integrating SAP TM with S/4HANA SD, MM, EWM, and FI modules

• Experience in creating Adobe Forms, output solutions, reports, workflows, background jobs, and custom applications

• Skilled in debugging and conducting root-cause analysis of complex TM technical issues across integrated systems

• Experience in performance analysis and optimization of ABAP programs, CDS views, database queries, interfaces, and batch processes

• Ability to prepare Technical Specification Documents (TSDs) based on approved Functional Specification Documents (FSDs)

• Capability to perform code reviews and adhere to SAP S/4HANA Clean Core and ABAP Cloud-ready development principles

• Proficient in performing technical unit testing and supporting FUT/SIT/UAT, defect resolution, cutover, and production stabilization

• Ability to provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior ABAP developers
