This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Enhance overall sales for salon customers within a designated territory.
• Achieve set sales targets utilizing manufacturer education and sales tools.
• Establish new customer accounts and promote approved beauty products, including new offerings and concepts.
• Serve salons, barbershops, spas, educational institutions, and licensed beauty professionals via social media and various channels.
• Identify key accounts and develop effective customer-growth strategies.
• Demonstrate and assist customers in planning, executing, monitoring, and evaluating in-salon promotions and programs.
• Assess customer requirements and suggest appropriate products and services.
• Communicate sales strategies and strive towards monthly, quarterly, and annual corporate sales objectives.
• Respond to emails, texts, and phone inquiries within 24 hours.
• Analyze accounts to identify necessary brand support, educational resources, and promotional activities.
• Conduct in-person visits to customers to fulfill sales objectives.
• Manage the processing and collection of returns along with necessary documentation.
• Collaborate with customer service, accounts receivable, IT, and other departments.
• Seek new customers through cold calls, social media outreach, and digital platforms.
• Input daily orders and maintain customer data and activities in Salesforce.com.
• Attract and maintain salon clientele through effective social media engagement, promotions, education, and product knowledge.
• Conduct both in-person and virtual product knowledge training sessions.
• Report on calls, visits, orders, sales progress, follow-up strategies, and support needs to the Manager.
• Share expertise in digital platforms and social media with colleagues.
• Participate in meetings, functions, events, shows, conventions, and educational opportunities; assist with display setup and teardown and manage back stock.
• Support new initiatives and embrace change management.
• Commit to continuous improvement in product knowledge, industry insights, and market trends.
• Schedule and attend business development days.
• Optimize learning and customer service time.
• Create an organized workspace and workflow.
• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• At least 1 year of proven outside sales experience or experience in the beauty industry with a focus on consultative selling.
• Must reside within the designated territory.
• Preferably possesses a working knowledge of inventory control systems and visual merchandising.
• Strong familiarity and experience with Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and other social media platforms for business development.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Knowledge of Salesforce.com, Outlook, PDF Expert, and Oracle.
• Ability to build an online community and foster social connections through search engines and internet tools.
• Willingness to travel locally within the territory.
• Availability to attend shows, conventions, and educational events, which may require overnight stays and weekend commitments.
• Ability to maintain a constant state of alertness and operate safely.
• Frequent and at times prolonged driving required.
• Commitment to scheduled work hours with flexibility to extend hours based on organizational demands.
• Strong time management and organizational abilities.
• Capability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Professional demeanor and positive interaction with the public.
• Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Physical ability to sit, drive, stand, walk, bend, twist, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, squat, reach, and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Must possess a vehicle for travel throughout the territory.
