This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.
• Expand the Business:
• Identify vital accounts within the assigned territory and create an efficient route to nurture and enhance existing customer relationships while seeking new partnerships.
• Showcase and support customers in developing, planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating the outcomes of all in-salon promotions, programs, and concepts.
• Assess customers’ needs and provide products and services that fulfill those needs.
• Convey all sales initiatives by collaborating with vendors, including but not limited to achieving corporate sales objectives on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Analyze your accounts to determine the necessary brand support, education, and promotions required to grow within that salon.
• Meet customers in person to accomplish established sales targets.
• Collaborate with all business areas, including customer service, accounts receivable, IT, and any other essential business functions.
• Actively seek new customers through cold calling, social media, and other digital channels.
• Attract and retain salon clientele by leveraging social media for communication, promotion, education, and product knowledge.
• Conduct engaging in-person and virtual product knowledge sessions.
• Cultivate Team and Culture:
• Be an expert in utilizing digital platforms and social media to enhance business growth. Share your expertise with peers to elevate the team’s digital skills.
• Must be willing to attend events, assist with the setup and breakdown of displays and booths, manage back stock, and perform any other required physical tasks.
• Support all new initiatives with a growth-oriented mindset while fostering positive change management within the team.
• Personal Growth:
• Demonstrate a commitment to learning and development, striving for continuous improvement while taking ownership of personal growth and enhancing digital and social media strategies to attract new customers and strengthen existing business relationships.
• High school diploma or equivalent certification.
• At least one year of proven outside sales experience or beauty industry experience with a focus on consultative selling.
• Must reside within the designated territory.
• Strong preference for knowledge of inventory control systems and visual merchandising.
• Proficient in utilizing Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and other social media platforms to cultivate pipelines, business accounts, and fulfill other business needs.
• Excellent computer skills, familiarity with salesforce.com, Outlook, PDF Expert, and Oracle. Experience with iPads is a plus.
• Capability to build an online community and forge social connections, including but not limited to utilizing search engines and other internet resources.
• This role requires local travel within the territory and attendance at shows, conventions, and educational events, which may involve overnight travel and/or some weekend work.
• Ability to maintain a constant state of alertness and operate safely.
• Frequent and at times extended periods of driving are required for this position.
• Committed to working scheduled hours with the flexibility to adapt to changing business demands.
• Strong time management and organizational skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to present a professional business image and engage positively with the public.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to convey information clearly and effectively at all organizational levels.
