Salesforce QA Engineer – Service Cloud, Experience Cloud

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create and implement comprehensive test cases derived from user stories, requirements, and acceptance criteria.

• Conduct functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing for Salesforce solutions.

• Evaluate the functionality of Salesforce Service Cloud and Experience Cloud.

• Assess Lightning Web Components, Apex, Salesforce Flow, and the functionality of configuration tools.

• Test case management workflows, business rules, screen flows, record-triggered automation, validation rules, and approval processes.

• Validate scenarios including positive, negative, boundary, and exception cases.

• Test Experience Cloud portals and features related to external users.

• Verify user authentication, access, profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, and role-based access controls.

• Detect security and access-related defects prior to production deployment.

• Confirm Salesforce integrations with external applications and APIs.

• Execute REST/SOAP API and integration testing.

• Verify data mappings, transformations, field-level accuracy, and the synchronization between Salesforce and external systems.

• Assess error handling and scenarios related to integration failures.

• Perform backend validation using SOQL as necessary.

• Engage in sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives.

• Review user stories and acceptance criteria to pinpoint test scenarios before development is finalized.

• Collaborate with Salesforce Developers to identify and rectify defects.

• Support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including defect triage and retesting.

• Document defects with reproducible steps, expected results, actual results, and supporting evidence.

• Track defects until resolution and validate the fixes.

• Develop and maintain regression test suites for Salesforce releases.

• Conduct regression testing following new development, enhancements, configuration changes, and deployments.

• Validate functionality across Development (DEV), Quality Assurance (QA), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Production environments.

• Assist in release-readiness activities and perform post-deployment validation.

• Identify potential risks to production prior to release.

• Collaborate with Salesforce Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, QA professionals, and client stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of QA/testing experience, with substantial hands-on experience in Salesforce testing.

• Extensive experience in testing Salesforce Service Cloud.

• Significant experience in testing Salesforce Experience Cloud.

• Proficiency in testing Lightning Web Components (LWC).

• Experience in testing Salesforce Flow.

• Background in testing custom Salesforce functionalities.

• Ability to develop test scenarios and test cases from user stories and acceptance criteria.

• Strong understanding of Salesforce objects, relationships, fields, record types, validation rules, workflows, and automation.

• Experience in testing Salesforce security elements, including Profiles, Permission Sets, Roles, Sharing Rules, and Field-Level Security.

• Familiarity with SIT, UAT, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.

• Experience in testing REST/SOAP APIs and system integrations.

• Working knowledge of SOQL for backend/data validation.

• Strong skills in defect management and root cause analysis.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Salesforce Administrator or other Salesforce certification is preferred.

• Experience with automated Salesforce testing is preferred.

• Familiarity with Selenium, Provar, Copado Robotic Testing, AccelQ, or similar automation platforms is preferred.

• Experience with Postman or similar API-testing tools is preferred.

• Proficiency in Jira, Azure DevOps, or comparable Agile/defect management platforms is preferred.

• Knowledge of Salesforce CI/CD and release processes is preferred.

• Experience with Git, Copado, Gearset, Salesforce DX, or similar deployment tools is preferred.

• Experience in the healthcare or public sector Salesforce environment is preferred.

• Familiarity with testing applications that involve sensitive or regulated data is preferred.
