• Take ownership of functional architecture encompassing: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Revenue Cloud (CPQ & Billing), and Experience Cloud (when applicable). Design scalable, multi-cloud Salesforce solutions in alignment with enterprise architecture and spearhead global CRM transformation initiatives.
• Act as the functional lead for Revenue, Finance, and Enterprise Applications.
• Manage the CRM and Revenue Cloud roadmap and prioritization efforts.
• Supervise system integrators and managed service providers.
• Provide mentorship to admins and business analysts.
• Focus on driving measurable business outcomes rather than just feature delivery.
• Lead the Flow-first automation strategy: determining when to utilize Flow versus Apex versus configuration, and how automation is structured, layered, and reused.
• Establish and enforce automation patterns, naming conventions, and guidelines.
• Prevent “Flow sprawl” and duplication of logic.
• Ensure appropriate governance and utilization of Salesforce AI tools.
• Manage core data models across Sales, Accounts, Opportunities, Cases, Contracts, etc.
• Guarantee scalability, reporting integrity, and seamless integrations.
• Anticipate the downstream effects of schema modifications.
• Review and approve designs for complex initiatives.
• Serve as an escalation point for architectural trade-offs.
• Mentor both admins and developers.
• Ensure that automation is readable, testable, and understandable.
• Facilitate smooth onboarding for new team members without causing fear or overwhelm.
• Ensure major changes do not introduce regressions.
• Make Salesforce feel like a cohesive platform rather than a patchwork solution.
• A minimum of 10 years of hands-on Salesforce experience, progressing into architecture-level ownership.
• Extensive expertise in Sales Cloud and/or Service Cloud data models and automation design.
• Experience with Salesforce CPQ and Billing solutions.
• Familiarity with Agentforce and/or Einstein.
• Background in collaborating with sales, revenue, finance, and product management stakeholders, preferably within a subscription (SaaS) environment.
• Advanced skills in Flow (record-triggered, scheduled, subflows, orchestration) in high-complexity settings.
• Proven track record in designing scalable, layered automation architectures (modular, reusable, bulk-safe).
• Strong data modeling abilities with insight into long-term reporting and integration implications.
• Experience in preventing and resolving automation conflicts (recursion, order of execution, duplication).
• Clear judgment regarding declarative versus Apex trade-offs, comfortable collaborating with technical engineering leads.
• Experience supporting large user bases and high-volume environments, with complex permission management needs associated with scaled organizations.
• Ability to convert ambiguous business processes into reliable system behavior.
• Experience in establishing governance standards (naming conventions, documentation, release discipline).
• Relevant Salesforce certification(s) and the ability to articulate how those certifications will contribute to success in this role.
