This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Take ownership of the complete Salesforce ecosystem at Benchling, including the configuration and integration of Salesforce CPQ.
• Design, develop, and uphold Salesforce integrations with downstream ERP, billing, and data platforms using Workato.
• Configure workflows for documents and contracts utilizing Conga.
• Manage CI/CD, release management, and ensure deployment quality through Gearset.
• Implement automated testing and enforce environment governance.
• Collaborate effectively with stakeholders from Sales, Professional Services, Customer Experience, Product, Engineering, Security, and TechOps.
• Act as a project owner and partner with members of the Enterprise Applications team to refine requirements and promote scalable solutions.
• Assess, select, implement, and integrate various technology tools.
• Leverage AI-assisted development and platform tools to enhance velocity and quality.
• Implement Salesforce solutions aligned with platform best practices.
• Conduct peer and vendor code reviews.
• Design, develop, and test scalable enhancements, including custom objects, page layouts, and APIs.
• Address architectural deficiencies and technical debt.
• Monitor performance, scalability, and the necessity for refactoring.
• A minimum of 5+ years of experience in Salesforce application development.
• Hands-on expertise with Salesforce CPQ, including product and pricing configuration, bundles, quoting, and approval workflows.
• Experience in building and maintaining integrations using Workato or a similar iPaaS across ERP and billing systems.
• Familiarity with Conga or equivalent contract and document automation tools.
• Experience managing Salesforce CI/CD processes with Gearset or similar DevOps tools, encompassing automated testing and deployment governance.
• Certified as Platform App Builder, Platform Developer 1 and 2, and Administrator 201.
• Proficient in Apex, Lightning, SOQL/SOSL, and JavaScript.
• Working knowledge of Java, Go, or Python.
• Experience with Salesforce SOAP, REST, and BULK APIs.
• Familiarity with Lightning components or Visualforce.
• Knowledge of data management and migration principles.
• Experience with Jira, Agile, Scrum, and CI/CD methodologies.
• Demonstrated fluency in AI and practical experience with AI development tools, such as Agentforce, AI-assisted coding, or agentic DevOps tools.
• Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation abilities.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
