Salesforce Data Migration Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +17 more states.

📋 Description

• Design and implement strategies for data migration into Salesforce.

• Extract, transform, cleanse, map, and load data from legacy and external systems.

• Develop and maintain ETL processes and workflows for data migration.

• Create specifications for data mapping and establish transformation rules.

• Conduct data validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance checks.

• Assist with migration testing, troubleshooting, and deployment efforts.

• Develop and enhance integrations utilizing Salesforce APIs and related technologies.

• Collaborate with Salesforce Architects, Developers, and business stakeholders to address data issues.

• Facilitate the migration of large datasets while ensuring data integrity and system performance.

• Document processes, data mappings, procedures, and outcomes related to migration.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

• Over 3 years of experience in Salesforce data migration or data engineering.

• Proficient in Salesforce data models, APIs, Data Loader, and SOQL.

• Familiarity with ETL tools and data transformation methodologies.

• Experience in data cleansing, validation, reconciliation, and quality management.

• Strong SQL proficiency and experience with relational databases.

• Background in handling large datasets and executing complex data migrations.

• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

• Preferred Salesforce certifications include Platform Developer, Data Architect, or Integration Architect.

• Experience with MuleSoft or other enterprise integration platforms is preferred.

• Familiarity with ETL technologies such as Informatica, Talend, or similar is preferred.

• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or others is preferred.

• Prior experience migrating data from legacy applications into Salesforce is preferred.

• Knowledge of Salesforce DevOps and automated migration processes is preferred.

• Experience working in Agile development environments is preferred.

• Selected candidates may need to undergo a government security investigation.

• U.S. Citizenship is required.

• Must be currently located in, or willing to relocate to, one of the states supported by Tripoint Solutions corporate offices: AL, CO, DC, DE, FL, GA, IL, IN, KS, LA, MD, MN, MS, NC, NJ, OH, PA, SC, TN, TX, or VA.
