Sales Tax Associate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Oversee multiple clients concurrently in a dynamic, deadline-oriented setting

• Prepare and submit sales tax returns

• Investigate tax-related issues and compose letters to the CRA

• Conduct periodic bookkeeping assessments

• Work collaboratively with clients and team members within a virtual accounting firm

• Participate in enhancing workflow processes and fostering firm culture

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position or in bookkeeping

• Comprehensive understanding of accounting systems

• Familiarity with Xero or QBO is advantageous

• CPA designation is preferred

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Capacity to handle multiple clients and tasks effectively

• Experience with task management tools such as Karbon, ClickUp, Monday, or Asana

• Ability to work autonomously in a remote environment

• Quick learner of new software applications

• Knowledgeable in bookkeeping, invoicing, payables, tax rates, and year-end processes

• Experience with Xero, QBO, Hubdoc, and Dext is a significant advantage

• Minimum internet speed of 6Mbps for both upload and download
