Sales Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with end users and Veeam partners to identify and convert business goals into technical specifications.

• Develop content and deliver presentations and demonstrations to various groups and levels of decision-makers, both virtually and in person.

• Oversee the technical evaluation phase of the sales process as the primary technical advisor for Veeam solutions.

• Offer pre-sales support to customers during their assessment of Veeam software (e.g., POCs, Hands-on Labs, Bootcamps).

• Accurately document and update customer and partner engagement activities in the CRM system (Salesforce).

• Collaborate closely with Veeam’s value-added resellers on training, joint meetings, and relationship building.

• Assist in lead generation efforts through events, webinars, user groups, and more.

• Work in tandem with Veeam Product Development and Engineering to relay customer feedback.

• Actively participate and collaborate with cross-functional teams on various strategic projects aimed at enhancing efficiencies and providing long-term value to the company (e.g., TCO & ROI calculators, hands-on labs).


⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in a pre-sales role within the IT sector.

• Previous experience utilizing or deploying Veeam solutions.

• VMCE certification is highly beneficial; all SEs can achieve VMCE and VMCA certifications once in the position.

• Extensive knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, Nutanix AHV) and related technologies (SANs, hyper-converged storage, networking).

• Familiarity with public cloud platforms (Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform).

• Understanding of key SaaS platforms such as Microsoft Office 365 and Salesforce.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Comfortable presenting to audiences, both remotely and in person.

• Willingness to travel throughout the UK & Ireland.

• Self-motivated with the ability to quickly learn new technologies.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where roles and responsibilities may frequently shift.
