This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.
• Lead discussions with customers in English, showcasing confidence and clarity, while translating mission needs into precise technical requirements and actionable next steps.
• Gain an in-depth understanding of Loft Orbital’s technical solution ecosystem, which includes satellite platforms, in-orbit capabilities, mission services, and operations, to effectively communicate and address mission solutions, accommodations, and design trade-offs with both customers and engineers.
• Assess customer design and interface requirements for physical and on-demand missions, ensuring alignment with Loft’s program offerings and technical specifications.
• Propel the creation of customer-specific technical solutions by asking insightful questions throughout the sales process to ensure alignment on program expectations.
• Take ownership of the technical proposal content from start to finish, encompassing preliminary architectures, mission analyses, and well-structured, clear, and mission-focused written narratives.
• Serve as the primary liaison between Business Development and Engineering by analyzing customer requirements, synthesizing information, building consensus, and guiding discussions toward conclusive outcomes rather than open-ended inquiries.
• Approximately 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, mission operations, or aerospace engineering, preferably with a focus on LEO satellite programs.
• Some familiarity with the evaluation of satellite payloads, mission planning, and CONOPS.
• Proven ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly, concisely, and confidently in English, both in verbal and written formats.
• Experience in cross-functional collaboration within fast-paced organizations where priorities frequently shift, and ambiguity is prevalent.
• Strong systems-level thinking capabilities, enabling quick comprehension of new architectures, tools, and internal processes.
• Demonstrated ability to instill structure, clarity, and momentum in technical discussions with both customers and internal teams.
• Comfortable working hands-on with modern tools, internal systems, and streamlined processes typical of growing startups.
• A strong passion for the commercial space industry and enthusiasm for engaging directly with customers.
