This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +1 more state.
• Accountable for the sales of Simple Western and Cellular Analysis instruments, along with associated systems and consumables to customers within the designated territory.
• Formulate and implement strategic plans for the product portfolio to enhance sales and expand market share in the territory.
• Meet sales objectives by employing consultative sales techniques.
• Cultivate and grow additional business in both existing and prospective accounts.
• Collaborate closely with the entire Commercial Team to ensure a unified approach to clients and promote all solutions offered by Bio-Techne.
• Engage in field sales within the assigned territory, spending 75% of time visiting customers.
• Provide precise sales forecasts for instruments and reagents.
• Utilize SalesForce.com to oversee all ongoing leads, customers, and opportunities.
• A Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a science-related discipline is mandatory.
• A minimum of 5 years of sales experience within the Life Science tools sector.
• At least 2 years of experience selling in a related market and domain.
• Experience in high-value capital equipment sales.
• Familiarity with customer workflows and the applications involved in the research, development, and production of pharmaceutical drugs and biologics.
• A broad understanding of various scientific techniques and research fields (e.g., Western Blot, Flow Cytometry, ELISA, Sequencing, High-Value Capital Equipment).
• Proficient in MS Office, PowerPoint, and Salesforce.
• Expertise in implementing value-based sales strategies, encompassing prospecting, relationship building, and delivering customized solutions.
• Strong negotiation and closing abilities focused on understanding buyer requirements and providing customer-centric solutions.
• Capability to map key accounts, recognize business potential, and execute territory business strategies.
• Proven interpersonal, presentation, and time & territory management skills.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills, especially in negotiation, persuasion, and problem-solving contexts.
• Eager and capable of collaborating in a team setting.
