This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +3 more states.
• Showcase PerkinElmer's capabilities within the market.
• Serve as a liaison to customers.
• Represent PerkinElmer Chromatography products and services within the designated territory.
• Implement a sales strategy aligned with regional and corporate objectives.
• Oversee existing customer accounts while pinpointing new target accounts.
• Engage in trade shows.
• Enhance market share and profitability.
• Create product-line strategies and ensure compensation margins align with company goals.
• Formulate and execute business plans.
• Effectively manage time and territory.
• Deliver business and technical presentations.
• Recognize customer needs and market trends.
• Promote and position PerkinElmer support services.
• Provide insights about techniques and products.
• Follow up on inquiries related to products and services.
• Maintain customer data in the company CRM system.
• Update the opportunity funnel and weekly sales forecasts.
• Oversee the sales funnel to achieve or enhance forecasting accuracy and growth objectives.
• Foster partnerships with customers and suppliers.
• Recommend solutions based on knowledge of competitive products and market dynamics.
• Offer consultative technical sales support.
• Collaborate with regional sales, service, product specialists, and business unit teams.
• Provide product support to the sales team.
• Offer local assistance for scheduled customer events.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry or a related discipline.
• Must possess direct experience with Chromatography (LC / GC / HPLC).
• 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in selling or supporting Chromatography instruments.
• Willingness to travel 50% of the time.
• Comprehensive understanding of business factors influencing account profitability and competitive standing, along with laboratory operations.
• Familiarity with analytical laboratory software and instruments is advantageous.
• Experience working in a laboratory environment using Chromatography instrumentation is preferred.
