This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Oversee accounts within the designated area, showcasing LGC Standards products to both new and existing customers across various industries.
• Discover and secure new business opportunities through a mix of prospecting and qualifying leads provided by marketing, as well as self-generated leads.
• Collaborate with LGC Standard’s sales teams (including specialists and customer service) to enhance the customer experience.
• Utilize LGC’s sales tools and virtual resources to prospect, nurture, and finalize opportunities while engaging in continuous territory planning.
• Achieve sales objectives within a specific region, leveraging collaborators to generate sales from both new and existing customers.
• Partner with marketing to introduce new products and remain updated on competitor trends and activities.
• Effectively manage the territory by strategically engaging with key account collaborators, including end users, procurement, and influential stakeholders.
• Maintain the overall distribution relationship within the territory, which encompasses high-impact activities, business reviews, specialist support, and training.
• Develop and manage effective pricing strategies, including contracts and customer-specific pricing such as renewals, negotiations, and implementations.
• A scientific background in Analytical Chemistry, covering Inorganic and/or Organic Chemistry, as well as Chemical Synthesis.
• Formal qualification in a relevant field such as Pharmaceutical, Life Science/Biotech, Environmental/Food/Life Sciences, or Industrial Science.
• Proven experience in achieving or exceeding sales targets; prior business-to-business sales experience is advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare and implement project plans effectively.
• Established capability to build collaborative relationships across all customer role levels.
• Residing in the Midwest region with the willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
