This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.
• Deliver first-line technical sales support for the Reference Materials and Analytical Standards product lines.
• Leverage enhanced opportunities for upselling and promote the sales of LGC’s manufactured offerings.
• Collaborate with the Sales Director, Account Managers, and Quoting Specialists to meet annual sales objectives.
• Manage accounts within the designated area, showcasing LGC Standards products to both new and existing customers across diverse industries.
• Identify and secure new prospect opportunities generated through a mix of prospecting and qualification from both marketing-generated and self-sourced leads.
• Work in conjunction with LGC Standard’s sales resources (specialists, customer service, etc.) to enhance the customer experience.
• Utilize LGC’s sales tools and virtual capabilities to prospect, nurture, and finalize opportunities, while conducting ongoing territory planning.
• Achieve sales goals in a specific region, leveraging collaborators to secure sales from both new and existing clients.
• Partner with marketing to launch new products and remain informed about competitor trends and activities.
• Effectively manage territory by strategically engaging with key account collaborators: end users, procurement, and influential stakeholders.
• Oversee the overall distribution relationship within the territory, encompassing high-impact activities, business reviews, specialist support, and training.
• Implement effective pricing strategies including contracts and customer-specific pricing: renewals, negotiations, and implementations.
• A scientific background in Analytical Chemistry - either Inorganic or Organic Chemistry, and Chemical Synthesis.
• Formal qualifications in a relevant field such as Pharmaceutical, Life Science/Biotech, Environmental/Food/Life sciences, or Industrial science.
• Non-sales candidates with a strong technical foundation and demonstrable business acumen are encouraged to apply.
• Experience in achieving or surpassing sales targets, ideally with business-to-business sales experience, is preferred.
• Proven experience in developing and executing project plans.
• Demonstrated ability to cultivate collaborative relationships with stakeholders at all customer role levels.
• Based in the Midwest region with the capacity to travel up to 20% of the time.
• Nice to Have: Familiarity with relevant systems and tools such as CRM, ERP (IFS), Salesforce, Microsoft Office suite, and supply chain process management tools.
• Laboratory experience in chemistry is considered an asset.
• Relevant business insight into the Analytical Chemistry market.
• Understanding of various supply chain procurement processes and options.
