This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Take ownership of all Transactional accounts within a designated geography and represent the full LGC Standards product portfolio to both new and existing clients across various end-markets, including Pharma, Biotech, Environmental, and more.
• Identify and secure new prospect opportunities through a mix of prospecting and qualification, in collaboration with our marketing department or through self-generated leads.
• Proactively engage with customers via email, phone calls, and online meetings to qualify leads, convert prospects, follow up on quotations, and drive new sales.
• Utilize LGC’s sales tools and virtual capabilities to prospect, nurture, close opportunities, and execute ongoing territory planning.
• Collaborate closely with the marketing team to launch new products and work with the core end-market team to monitor competitor activity and trends.
• Manage the daily operations of relevant service cloud cases, ensuring that tasks are addressed promptly and response times are maintained.
• MSc in chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, biotechnology, or a related field (a combination of education and experience will be considered).
• Demonstrable experience in selling technical products used in laboratory settings.
• Proven success in account management.
• Proficiency in customer relationship management systems (e.g., Salesforce) and the Microsoft Office suite.
• A strong record of meeting and surpassing sales targets.
• Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Comprehensive understanding of industry trends and market dynamics.
• Strong communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 15% as necessary.
