This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Oversee accounts within the designated area, showcasing LGC Standards products to both new and existing clients across diverse industries.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities derived from a mix of prospecting efforts and qualifying leads from both marketing sources and self-generated initiatives.
• Partner with LGC Standard’s sales personnel (specialists, customer service, etc.) to enhance the customer experience significantly.
• Utilize LGC’s sales tools and digital platforms to prospect, nurture, and finalize opportunities, while conducting continuous territory planning.
• Achieve sales objectives in a specific region by collaborating with team members to obtain sales from both new and existing customers.
• Collaborate with marketing teams to introduce new products and remain updated on competitor trends and activities.
• Effectively manage the territory by strategically engaging with key account partners: end users, procurement staff, and influential figures.
• Take ownership of the overall distribution relationship within the territory, including high-impact initiatives, business reviews, specialist assistance, and training.
• Implement effective pricing strategies, covering aspects such as contracts and customer-specific pricing: renewals, negotiations, and implementations.
• A scientific background in Analytical Chemistry - Inorganic and/or Organic Chemistry, Chemical Synthesis.
• Formal qualification in a relevant field: Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences/Biotech, Environmental/Food/Life Sciences, Industrial Science, etc.
• Proven experience in successfully selling scientific consumables.
• Non-sales professionals with a robust technical understanding and demonstrable business acumen are encouraged to apply.
• Experience in meeting or exceeding sales targets, ideally with business-to-business sales experience, will be advantageous.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and executing project plans.
• Proven ability to cultivate collaborative relationships at all relevant customer role levels.
• Reside in the Southwest region and possess the ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
