This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Deliver first-level technical sales assistance for the Reference Materials and Analytical Standards product lines.
• Leverage enhanced opportunities for upselling and boost the sales of LGC’s manufactured offerings.
• Oversee accounts within the designated area, showcasing LGC Standards products to both new and existing customers across various sectors.
• Identify and secure new prospect opportunities generated through a blend of prospecting and qualifying leads from both marketing sources and self-generated efforts.
• Collaborate with LGC Standard’s sales resources (specialists, customer service, etc.) to enhance the customer experience significantly.
• Utilize LGC’s sales tools and virtual capabilities to prospect, nurture, and finalize opportunities while conducting ongoing territory planning.
• Achieve sales targets within a specific region by engaging collaborators to secure sales from both new and existing customers.
• Partner with marketing to introduce new products and remain updated on competitor trends and activities.
• Effectively manage territory by strategically engaging with key account collaborators, including end users, procurement, and influential stakeholders.
• Oversee the overall distribution relationship within the territory, encompassing high-impact activities, business reviews, specialist support, and training.
• Develop effective pricing strategies that include – but are not limited to – contracts and customer-specific pricing, renewals, negotiations, and implementations.
• A scientific background in Analytical Chemistry - Inorganic and/or Organic Chemistry, Chemical Synthesis.
• Formal qualification in a relevant field: Pharmaceutical, Life Science/Biotech, Environmental/Food/Life sciences, Industrial science, etc.
• Non-sales candidates who possess a solid technical understanding and demonstrable business acumen are encouraged to apply.
• Experience in achieving or surpassing sales targets, preferably with a background in business-to-business sales, will be beneficial.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing project plans.
• Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships at all relevant customer role levels.
• Residing in the Midwest region with the capability to travel up to 20% of the time.
