This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.
• Surpass designated revenue and profit objectives on a quarterly basis and in alignment with annual targets.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers and vendors while identifying opportunities in assigned regions and exploring new markets when necessary.
• Oversee and report on a weekly pipeline of sales opportunities, quotes, and orders.
• Collaborate with customers to develop specifications for upcoming bids and contract quotations for the equipment and services offered by the company.
• Travel to client locations and participate in symposiums, conferences, trade shows, and exhibitions, as well as conduct vendor ride-alongs to nurture sales opportunities.
• Proactively gather competitive and customer insights: Relay market intelligence, opportunities, and potential threats to the company.
• Provide pricing quotes and establish appropriate credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery schedules.
• Acquire knowledge and utilize internal CRM and ERP systems for processing quotes and orders.
• Support Inside Sales with data entry for generating customer quotes and assist in identifying optimal and available funding opportunities.
• Suggest products to customers based on their needs and interests.
• Perform administrative tasks such as report preparation, sales record maintenance, and filing expense account reports in accordance with corporate deadlines.
• Work collaboratively with professionals from potential customer organizations in product development, enhancements, modifications, or adjustments that could improve overall performance.
• Accurately process quotes received through written communication, electronically, or via phone.
• Formulate a marketing strategy to generate sales leads for new contacts within the existing region.
• Employ a combined inside/outside sales team approach for territory/customer strategy, vendor relations, and dealer of record.
• Demonstrated experience as a Sales Representative.
• Solid understanding of Government Sales and Federal Contracting.
• Background in working with the Department of Defense, military, federal agencies, law enforcement, or other state and local educational and public safety agencies/organizations.
• Capability to complete tasks within set deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Proficient in conducting effective negotiations.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to obtain security clearance, if necessary.
