This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky, +1 more state.
• Accountable for all sales operations related to calcium carbonate and chemical distribution products within the Material Science market in Kentucky, Tennessee, and Georgia.
• Promote and sell the company's offerings to both existing and prospective clients.
• Oversee the quality and consistency in the delivery of products and services.
• Create action plans and timelines to target specific goals and estimate the number of contacts required.
• Follow up on new leads and referrals generated from field activities.
• Identify sales opportunities and reach out to assigned accounts and prospects.
• Develop presentations, proposals, and sales contracts.
• Create and maintain sales materials while staying updated on product knowledge.
• Build and sustain relationships with current and potential clients.
• Prepare documentation to initiate and maintain contract services.
• Oversee account services through quality assessments and follow-ups.
• Recognize and address client issues effectively.
• Compile various status reports, including activities, closures, and follow-ups.
• Collaborate with company staff to ensure all tasks necessary for closing sales are completed.
• Design and execute special sales initiatives to decrease inventory levels.
• Engage in marketing activities such as seminars and trade shows.
• Aid in follow-up efforts for payment collection.
• Assist in coordinating the shipment of products and scheduling services.
• Provide on-the-job training for new sales team members.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering.
• 1 to 5 years of experience in sales and distribution.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities.
• Proficient in negotiation and customer service skills.
• Must hold a valid driver's license.
• Strong understanding of advertising and sales promotion strategies.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
