This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota, +1 more state.
• Oversee the relationship management and business dealings with specific retailers and distributors within the region.
• Increase both sales volume and gross margin contribution for FGI brands.
• Conduct targeted sales calls to growers and dairy producers in collaboration with channel partners.
• Provide an exceptional customer experience by engaging in well-organized, impactful face-to-face interactions with target accounts, growers, and dairies.
• Strategically market and position FGI’s product range to enhance trait conversion and expand market share.
• Educate designated accounts on positioning and selling FGI branded alfalfa seed and its traits.
• Cultivate relationships with dealers and distributors to meet company objectives.
• Handle customer orders, replants, stewardship/GPOS data, and ensure program reconciliation.
• Address conflicts between dealers swiftly and fairly.
• Offer regional agronomic support.
• Articulate and convey FGI's value proposition, pricing, and programs to designated dealers.
• Create Territory Plans and establish Grower and Dairy Targets through on-farm visits.
• Bachelor’s degree in Crop Science or a related field is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of successful sales experience in seed, crop inputs, or marketing with customer interaction, or equivalent work experience totaling 10 years.
• Proven skills in engaging effectively with customers, suppliers, employees, and management across all levels.
• Enthusiasm and expertise in making grower calls alongside customer sales staff and providing coaching to successfully sell FGI products.
• Capability to learn the features and benefits of FGI alfalfa and leverage this knowledge for sales, marketing support, and training.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SalesForce.com.
• Proven track record of quickly and effectively resolving issues.
• Ability to create and deliver engaging, informative, and educational product presentations.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
