
Sales Representative, Defense Sector – Key Account Manager

• Identify and cultivate new sales and business opportunities within the defense sector, including exploring new markets, products, and partnerships.
• Act as the main liaison between the company and its defense clients to comprehend and address their requirements.
• Hold regular meetings with customers to evaluate ongoing projects, future needs, and potential new business ventures.
• Collaborate with the Business Development Manager, Defense, to create and execute strategic account plans aimed at achieving revenue goals and expanding market presence.
• Prepare and present engaging presentations and proposals that are customized to meet the specific needs of customers in the defense sector.
• Completion of commercial vocational training (minimum of 3 years) along with an additional qualification in sales.
• Alternatively, possession of a university degree.
• At least 5–7 years of relevant professional experience.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both German and English.
• Strong command of MS Office applications (e.g., Excel and Word).
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to formulate and develop strategic plans.
• Existing contacts within the defense industry, Federal Police (Bundespolizei), and military are advantageous.
• A clean police clearance certificate (unblemished criminal record) is required.
• Compensation in line with the IG Metall collective agreement scale E10 and above-tariff based on qualifications and experience.
• Flexibility to work remotely for 2 days per week.
