• Organize, create, and facilitate quarterly business reviews.
• Develop medium to long-term sales strategies aimed at protecting, expanding, and diversifying relationships with a specific set of customers.
• Create and execute a strategic roadmap for customer growth, focusing on acquiring new business and fostering customer dependencies.
• Actively seek additional sales opportunities and drive initiatives to successful completion.
• Engage with customer contacts to initiate the contract renewal process and ensure timely contract renewals.
• Track competitive activities within each account and devise appropriate response strategies that are effectively communicated.
• With autonomy and determination, address issues and guarantee high-quality customer service.
• Ensure customer profitability by maintaining or enhancing customer margins through coordinated efforts with Sales Operations and other departments (such as securing customer approvals on substitutes/alternatives and implementing necessary price increases).
• Keep accurate records for sales pipeline, prospects, customer details, and communication logs within the CRM system.
• Assist in managing all aspects of contractual obligations, including but not limited to excess and obsolete inventory, value-added/value-engineered initiatives, cost savings documentation, pricing/material index reviews, inventory reductions, and expense minimization.
• Maintain relationships with mid-level clients (e.g., Purchasing Managers) while cultivating relationships with senior clients (e.g., Purchasing Directors, C-Suite executives).
• Support customer implementations and ongoing improvement initiatives.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field, and/or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of industrial sales experience, preferably within related products or industries.
• Valid Driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Experience in project management and/or onboarding new customers is a plus.
• High standards of professionalism and ethics are essential.
• Team-oriented, collaborative, and humble approach preferred.
• Ability to analyze complex business scenarios and devise innovative, business-focused solutions.
• Self-starter with motivation and the capability to manage and direct one’s own schedule.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions provided in written, oral, blueprint, or schedule formats.
• Strong listening and interpersonal skills, along with exceptional negotiation capabilities.
• Effective communicator in both verbal and written forms.
• Capable of speaking effectively in front of groups comprising customers and employees.
• Advanced persuasion and sales presentation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and perform effectively in a high-pressure environment.
• Comfortable with data analysis, including graphs, statistics, percentages, and ratios.
• Willingness to travel, estimated at up to 60%.
