Sales Representative

đź“‹ Description

• Gather, analyze, and interpret sales, customer, and market data to pinpoint trends, opportunities, and potential risks.

• Maintain and enhance assigned key account lists, establishing annual measurable objectives and targets for distribution and volume under the guidance of the Regional Sales Manager.

• Aid in the development of an optimal product assortment for clients and line review meetings by assessing sales performance, category trends, and consumer behavior.

• Foster and sustain relationships with key buyers, decision-makers, and broker partners at designated Key Accounts.

• Assess the effectiveness of promotional campaigns through pre/post analysis, ROI evaluation, and shopper behavior data; suggest strategies for future promotions.

• Monitor competitor activities (pricing, assortment, promotions) utilizing both internal and external data sources; provide actionable insights to strengthen our competitive edge.

• Create and maintain dashboards or reports that offer real-time visibility into key metrics for the sales strategy team, including inventory and customer profitability metrics.

• Collaborate with National Account Managers, Sales Strategy, Marketing, and Finance teams to align insights and bolster strategic initiatives and customer presentations grounded in data and facts.

• Collect and analyze sales, inventory, and shopper data from key account data sources such as portals and internal systems to identify growth opportunities and risks.

• Evaluate SKU performance and recommend assortment modifications tailored to each retailer’s strategy and shopper demographics.

• Accountable for sales forecasting and managing deductions (Financial Management) through the internal Trade Promotion Management system.

• Assist in preparing for sales meetings, including but not limited to editing presentation decks, coordinating sample requests, and sending follow-up emails as required.

• Continuously develop and refine competencies through participation in learning and development workshops.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 1 Year of experience in CPG Sales, Analytics, or Marketing.

• Location: NY, NJ, CT, or MA.

• Proficiency with CPG syndicated POS data and insights (e.g., Nielsen, Luminate, IRI, 8451, etc.).

• Detail-oriented with strong writing and editing capabilities.

• Proficient analytical skills and familiarity with computer software (e.g., Excel, Access, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.).

• Understanding of financial and trade management, including pricing and promotional strategies in dynamic categories.

• Knowledge of the consumer goods industry and an awareness of its challenges and opportunities.

• Positive and enthusiastic outlook.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

• Ability to manage multiple projects (NOT multitasking) and meet deadlines with excellence.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, focused on delivering actionable insights and innovative solutions.

• Exceptional communication skills—capable of translating complex data into clear business recommendations.

• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities.

• Commercially savvy with excellent follow-up, organizational, communication, and presentation skills.

• The Total Target Compensation (TTC) at the time of hiring reflects the pay range applicable upon commencement of employment. This range is effective from your hire date to March 31, 2027, and includes both base pay and bonus pay. For further details regarding compensation, please consult with your recruiter.
