This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Implement business strategies to discover and secure new opportunities.
• Assess the needs of potential clients and create/deliver suitable responses to meet or exceed those needs (via written communication, phone calls, and in-person meetings).
• Conduct field sales visits for designated accounts and territories, including “on-call” consultations and operating room support.
• Ensure exceptional post-sale follow-up with accounts (including communication regarding delivery schedules, in-service training, and coordination of product replenishment).
• Engage with existing and new customer accounts on various topics such as product updates, modifications to Acumed’s product range, and medical educational offerings.
• Cross-promote additional products and introduce new offerings to both current and prospective accounts as they become available.
• Enhance customer satisfaction and resolve issues by addressing any challenges or concerns that arise with assigned accounts in a timely manner.
• Maintain customer records according to Acumed’s standards using the company’s CRM system.
• Uphold compliance with the AdvaMed code of conduct by safeguarding the privacy and confidentiality of information, protecting organizational assets, demonstrating ethics and integrity, reporting any non-compliance, and adhering to applicable federal, state, and local laws, as well as accreditation and licensing requirements, along with company policies and procedures.
• Acquire training in sales techniques and product knowledge.
• Stay informed about the medical device industry, Acumed customers, and competitive dynamics.
• Actively engage in and attend trade shows, sales meetings, promotional events, and professional association gatherings as necessary, even outside regular business hours.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (preferably business or medical discipline) or equivalent experience.
• 0-2 years of demonstrated successful sales experience (preferably within the medical device industry).
• Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate with physicians and other surgical staff.
• Experience in establishing and maintaining relationships with surgeons and hospitals in the relevant areas.
• Knowledge of principles and methods for demonstrating, promoting, and selling products or services.
• Must be comfortable in emergency and operating room settings.
• Must be able to obtain the necessary credentials for hospital access.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• Credentialing Required: This position entails frequent visits/observations in surgery. The incumbent must obtain hospital-required credentials.
