
Sales Representative – Area Account Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Convert training and educational insights into effective sales of all surgical products within the Brainlab surgery portfolio (Neuro, Spine, ENT, CMF, iOR).
• Formulate innovative strategies for all current and prospective accounts within the designated territory.
• Create and sustain a comprehensive and consistent customer database for the assigned region.
• Build and nurture relationships with all contacts at qualified accounts through customer visits, correspondence, phone calls, participation in congresses, and more.
• Oversee the entire sales process, encompassing presentation, evaluation, contract negotiation and closure, delivery, installation, and post-sale support.
• Prepare essential documentation for tenders, including quotes, letters, and responses to technical inquiries.
• Establish a routine for contacting customers and remain informed about the status of each account, distributor, and market.
• Utilize existing client relationships to effectively influence additional accounts and promote upgrade opportunities.
• Share account information with colleagues to encourage cross-selling initiatives.
• Conduct precise sales forecasts and supply data for annual budget planning.
• Develop a creative 12-month sales strategy aligned with Brainlab’s corporate objectives.
• Maintain a high level of knowledge through ongoing self-education.
• Uphold a professional and innovative image of Brainlab among customers, competitors, and colleagues.
• Monitor personal expenses and suggest potential savings.
• BA/BS degree preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
• Must be a road warrior, demonstrating a strong willingness and desire to travel frequently.
• Proven track record as a top-performing representative in previous sales roles.
• Sales experience in capital equipment or medical fields, particularly in neurosurgery.
• Familiarity with surgical procedures, anatomy, and medical terminology is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and a demonstrated capacity for independent decision-making.
• Prior experience interacting with surgeons and knowledge of hospital hierarchies and sales cycles.
• Exceptional customer relations skills and experience collaborating closely with senior management.
• Strong presentation abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• High level of comfort with software and technology in general.
