Sales Operations Analyst

Posted 1 day ago

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Design, create, and sustain Power BI dashboards and reports utilized by sales leadership, regional managers, and operations stakeholders.

• Convert business inquiries into analytical solutions by defining data models, DAX measures, and visual designs that reveal actionable insights.

• Manage the complete lifecycle of each BI deliverable: from requirements gathering to development, quality assurance, stakeholder review, and ongoing maintenance.

• Proactively seek opportunities to consolidate, retire, or automate outdated reports that no longer assist in decision-making.

• Maintain a data quality scorecard that tracks duplicate records, missing fields, and outdated entries across key data sources, providing periodic reports to leadership.

• Generate and distribute regular sales reports — including pipeline views, territory summaries, account lists, and order recaps — ensuring reps and managers have dependable, consistent data without the need to create it themselves.

• Assist with ad hoc analytical requests from sales leadership, delivering clean, well-documented outputs with the necessary context and caveats.

• Identify, suggest, and help implement process enhancements for manual or inefficient workflows within the sales operations department.

• Manage and maintain sales-related email distribution lists and the external salesperson locator, ensuring accuracy as the team evolves.

• Oversee the Sales Operations SOP library, managing version control and ensuring all materials reflect current processes.

• Administer the Sales Ops SharePoint environment, including content organization and permissions management.

• Oversee the CRM platform (Microsoft Dynamics), including user onboarding and offboarding, account setup, permissions, and configuration.

• Create and maintain customer account records focusing on deduplication, completeness of fields, and data accuracy.

• Perform routine data audits to detect and resolve quality issues before they impact reporting or commission calculations.

• Act as a cross-functional liaison between Sales Operations, IT, Finance, and HR for CRM and systems-related inquiries.

• Manage and maintain representative records in the commission platform, ensuring accurate setup before each compensation cycle.

• Collaborate with Sales Operations leadership to identify data discrepancies or configuration issues that could influence payout accuracy.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in a sales operations, business intelligence, or analytics-focused role.

• Practical Power BI experience, including report and dashboard creation, DAX measures, and data modeling.

• Direct experience with a CRM platform (Microsoft Dynamics preferred; Salesforce or HubSpot also considered), including user administration.

• Familiarity with data quality concepts such as duplicate records, missing fields, and metric verifications.

• Highly organized and self-motivated; capable of managing multiple ongoing workflows and project deliverables with minimal supervision.

• Effective communicator who can interpret analytical outputs for non-technical stakeholders across Sales, Finance, and IT.

• NICE TO HAVE

• Experience with SAP, Snowflake, IBM Cognos, or similar enterprise ERP and reporting systems.

• Knowledge of Power Automate or similar workflow automation tools.

• Experience with commission or incentive compensation platforms (Spiff, CaptivateIQ, Xactly, or similar).

• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 admin tools and SharePoint site management.

• Awareness of AI-assisted analytics tools or a demonstrated interest in incorporating emerging tools into analytical workflows.
