This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +2 more states.
• Enhance sales and market presence of refractory products and services for clients in the steel sector.
• Establish and nurture multi-tiered relationships within customer organizations.
• Recognize opportunities to boost revenue through material offerings, service enhancements, and margin improvements.
• Foster robust supplier-end-user connections to secure lasting partnerships.
• Track and address political, economic, competitive, and production trends impacting the steel industry.
• Meet customer-specific objectives, including sales volume, revenue, inventory turnover days, and profit margins.
• Maintain CRM documentation, encompassing customer contacts, call reports, opportunities, market share, and competitor activities.
• Provide reports on customer production, competitor actions, new projects, and market insights as necessary.
• Offer strategic updates regarding product performance, innovative applications, and service improvements.
• Deliver precise rolling forecasts for material and service requirements to enhance inventory management and supply chain effectiveness.
• Manage demand cycles, including supplier selection, negotiations, purchasing, logistics, outage planning, and performance monitoring.
• Negotiate advantageous payment terms and guarantee prompt collections.
• Organize daily sales activities and service personnel schedules.
• Work together with Technical Marketing to suggest and implement trials of new materials and refine application concepts.
• Assist with customer refractory installation and application troubleshooting.
• Travel within the assigned territory and represent RHI Magnesita at trade shows, industry events, and client meetings.
• At least 2 years of experience in the industrial sector, ideally in steel production or refractories.
• Strong comprehension of steel manufacturing processes and customer requirements.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
• Capability to work autonomously and manage several priorities in a dynamic environment.
