This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Identify, assess, and pursue new business prospects within designated accounts, agencies, and market segments throughout the United States.
• Achieve individual sales targets through effective pipeline generation, opportunity advancement, accurate forecasting, and successful closing of new business deals.
• Collaborate with regional sales leadership on territory planning, account prioritization, and the development of strategic opportunities.
• Cultivate and maintain an in-depth understanding of government procurement policies and compliance requirements across various agencies.
• Guide customer engagement throughout the entire sales lifecycle, from initial discovery to contract award.
• Represent SS8 at industry events, trade shows, and government meetings in a professional, respectful, and inclusive manner.
• Work closely with internal teams—including product, marketing, legal, and operations—to customize solutions that meet customer and regulatory needs.
• Create and present high-quality proposals, presentations, and responses to RFI/RFP requests.
• Build and sustain long-term strategic relationships with key law enforcement and government stakeholders, partners, consultants, and system integrators.
• Keep track of market trends, regulatory changes, and competitive activities to inform regional go-to-market strategies.
• Over 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management targeting US law enforcement, government, or public sector clients.
• Demonstrated success in complex, high-value B2G sales environments.
• Preferably experience from a law enforcement agency.
• Strong knowledge of government procurement and contracting processes.
• Proven experience working with law enforcement and government intelligence agencies.
• Experience in developing and managing opportunities within designated public-sector accounts or geographic markets.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation abilities.
• Capability to handle lengthy sales cycles and manage multiple stakeholders simultaneously.
• Willingness and ability to travel as needed.
