This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +10 more states.
• Collaborate with RSMs to establish and nurture relationships with key customer stakeholders while leading strategic discussions with clients.
• Act as the subject matter expert on Serials, providing presentations, assisting with intricate sales cycles, and offering guidance on serials strategy and workflows.
• Create and implement targeted account strategies in conjunction with RSMs, encompassing growth initiatives, retention tactics, and risk management.
• Formulate and execute strategic sales plans aimed at achieving SSD revenue objectives, in alignment with regional and national goals.
• Take ownership of the renewal strategy for SSD accounts, proactively pinpointing risks, gaps, and opportunities for business retention and growth.
• Discover and promote new sales opportunities, facilitating upsell and cross-sell initiatives across publisher packages, title lists, and services.
• Work closely with Account Services Managers, Customer Service, and Operations to guarantee accurate renewals and a seamless customer experience.
• Maintain a robust sales pipeline, ensuring precise CRM reporting, forecasting, and progression of opportunities.
• Keep abreast of market trends, competitive actions, and customer feedback to refine sales strategies, product positioning, and continuous enhancements.
• A minimum of 7 years of sales experience, with prior experience in the academic market being preferred.
• At least 7 years of library experience engaging with serials or acquisitions workflows, or a relevant combination of experience.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 60% of the time.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and Outlook.
• Reside within the designated territory or near a major airport servicing the territory.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, along with experience in public speaking.
