This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Achieve and surpass annual booking objectives for a designated geographic territory, which includes nurturing significant existing strategic accounts and identifying new prospective accounts.
• Oversee the complete sales process from the initial lead through to closing deals and facilitating repeat purchases.
• Develop comprehensive business plans to support the achievement of targets and quotas.
• Articulate the company’s value proposition to prospective clients in both academic and commercial sectors.
• Identify customer requirements and ensure the delivery of essential products, tools, and technical resources.
• Collaborate with internal teams on intricate customer tenders, bids, and various agreements.
• Utilize go-to-market resources, such as solution engineers, marketing, professional materials, and evaluation programs.
• Keep an accurate and current overview of leads and opportunities.
• Generate reports as required.
• Drive comprehensive sales efforts and manage customer relationships and opportunities across the North America territory, with a focus on the West and Midwest.
• Over 10 years of demonstrated experience as a successful, growth-oriented salesperson, particularly in new business development.
• Background in hardware sales and experience selling to academic institutions and research laboratories is a significant advantage.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Strong presentation abilities.
• Proficiency in market research, sales cycle management, and negotiation techniques.
• Capability to establish trustworthy relationships.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• High degree of independence.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.
• Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).
• Educational background in physics and/or electrical engineering.
• Understanding of quantum computing principles.
• Willingness to travel frequently to meet customers and prospects.
