This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Lead, guide, and enhance the sales organization with a focus on its structure, personnel, and performance to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness, including personal feedback and development.
• Collaborate with the National Sales Manager to design and execute strategies.
• Direct the sales team and provide support to the Strategic Account Manager (Ontario), who oversees the Acute and Community team.
• Mentor team members on sales techniques, procedures, and standards to help them meet their sales objectives.
• Transform local business plans into actionable sales plans, activities, and campaigns, managing the daily operations of a sales team to implement the organization’s overall sales strategy for a designated geography, channel, and/or customers.
• Prepare sales forecasts and budgets; track sales volume, revenues, and costs against projections to identify areas for improvement and opportunities, adapting procedures accordingly.
• Oversee the daily operations of the sales team to ensure that targets are achieved.
• Allocate resources based on current customer categorization to enhance the overall performance of the sales team.
• Negotiate sales with both existing and prospective customers who hold strategic significance for the organization.
• Contribute to the formulation of sales, marketing, customer retention, advertising, pricing, and distribution strategies for the area of responsibility.
• Gather insights on market development, customer needs, and competitor activities, sharing this information with internal stakeholders.
• Play a key role in overall decision-making.
• Develop, implement, and monitor sales plans and marketing programs tailored to specific customers to meet or exceed sales targets.
• Collaborate effectively with both internal and external partners.
• Represent and expand the Essity business.
• Regularly analyze customer data to identify and manage business risks and opportunities.
• A University Degree or equivalent experience in healthcare.
• Over 5 years of relevant experience in the Healthcare Industry, specifically in Home Healthcare, Community, and Acute Care.
• More than 3 years of management experience.
• Knowledge of government-funded channels (Acute, Community) and the tender process.
• Familiarity with the Home Health/private pay market and the key drivers affecting this sector.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong business and financial acumen.
• Capability to analyze and leverage sales data to influence activities and initiatives within Ontario, Manitoba, and Atlantic Canada.
• A valid driver's license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle are required.
• Willingness to travel domestically up to 50% of the time.
• A team player with effective collaboration skills.
• Proven experience in coaching and leading a sales team is essential.
