This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Propel profitable expansion for ABB’s Building Automation and IoT-driven solutions by enhancing customer base and strengthening partner engagement.
• Take ownership of the sales plan, pipeline, and forecasting for the territory.
• Establish a growth strategy for the BA business in the UK and Ireland, aligned with BLBA's overall strategic objectives.
• Implement the strategy and guarantee business growth.
• Lead, mentor, and motivate teams in the UK and Ireland to successfully execute the sales strategy.
• Increase revenue and market share through new customer acquisition and account development in commercial and institutional buildings.
• Market and position IoT-enabled building solutions, including HVAC controls and BMS, in line with customer outcomes.
• Cultivate relationships and influence specifications with end users/owners, consulting engineers, MEP firms, contractors, and system integrators.
• Develop and implement territory and key account plans, including target lists and strategies for strategic projects.
• Enhance partner coverage by nurturing existing partnerships and appointing new partners as necessary.
• Manage the complete sales cycle, including qualification, solution positioning, proposals/quotations, negotiation, and closing.
• Ensure robust pipeline hygiene and forecast accuracy using ABB CRM.
• Collaborate with internal teams to secure projects and guarantee strong delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor market and competitor activities and provide insights for pricing, positioning, and go-to-market strategies.
• Significant experience in B2B technical sales and sales management within building automation/BMS, HVAC controls, lighting controls, or related smart building technologies.
• Proven track record of engaging with end users, consultants, contractors, and system integrators in a project/specification-driven environment.
• Demonstrated capability to grow accounts, identify new opportunities, and develop/enable channel partners.
• Strong skills in forecasting, pipeline management, and CRM discipline/reporting.
• Comprehensive understanding of standard building automation architectures and integration concepts (e.g., IP networks, gateways, protocols).
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities; comfortable conducting training for customers and partners.
• Willingness to travel throughout the UK and Ireland; Valid UK driver’s license.
