This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Lead and prioritize safety in all activities you engage in.
• Enhance sales and market presence of refractory products and services.
• Establish and nurture multi-level relationships within customer organizations.
• Identify avenues to boost revenue through material offerings, services, and margin improvement.
• Foster solid supplier–end-user relationships to ensure enduring partnerships.
• Monitor and react to political, economic, competitive, and production trends that impact the refractory sector.
• Meet customer-specific goals, including sales volume, turnover, inventory days-on-hand (DOH), and margin.
• Maintain CRM records encompassing customer contacts, call reports, opportunities, market share, and competitor activities.
• Provide reports detailing customer production, competitor activities, new projects, and market insights as necessary.
• Offer strategic updates on product performance, innovations in application, and enhancements in service.
• Deliver precise rolling forecasts for material and service requirements to maximize inventory and supply chain efficiency.
• Supervise demand cycles, which include supplier selection, negotiations, purchasing, logistics, outage schedules, and performance monitoring.
• Negotiate favorable payment conditions and ensure prompt collections.
• Organize daily schedules for sales activities and service personnel.
• Collaborate with Technical Marketing to recommend and implement trials for new materials and optimize application concepts.
• Assist customers with refractory installation and troubleshooting of applications.
• Travel within the assigned territory and represent RHI Magnesita at trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings.
• High School Diploma is mandatory.
• An Engineering Degree is advantageous and/or experience in a related industrial setting.
• At least 2 years of industrial experience, ideally in steel production or refractories.
• Strong comprehension of manufacturing processes and customer requirements.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
• Capability to work independently and manage numerous priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• Proficiency in the MS Office Suite, particularly MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity or willingness to learn an ERP, MRP, or similar systems for data input, output, report generation, and data analysis is a plus.
• Knowledge of SAP is considered an advantage.
• A valid driver's license and a personal vehicle are required.
