This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Overseeing and enhancing OEM partnerships through consultative and solution-oriented sales techniques.
• Cultivating relationships across our clients' organizations, including Commodity Managers, Buyers, Engineers, and other stakeholders as necessary.
• Discovering new opportunities within current accounts through up-selling and cross-selling initiatives.
• Identifying and developing new customers within target markets.
• Acting as the main commercial liaison for designated accounts.
• Collaborating closely with field application engineers, engineering teams, and internal departments to address customer challenges effectively.
• Leading and coordinating intricate commercial negotiations.
• Formulating and implementing account strategies that align with business and sales goals.
• Converting account strategies into actionable project initiatives.
• Keeping detailed records of customer maps and stakeholder relationships (including buyers, engineers, and commodity managers).
• Traveling to customer locations, industry conferences, and trade shows as required.
• Conducting market analysis and competitive research, sharing findings internally.
• Preparing annual forecasts, account plans, and sales documentation.
• Maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive communication and follow-up.
• Performing additional responsibilities as assigned.
• At least 5 years of experience in outside B2B sales (OEM or industrial experience preferred).
• Demonstrated success in selling technical or engineered products.
• Experience in managing lengthy sales cycles and complex customer organizations.
• Familiarity with the agriculture market and established relationships within it.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the capability to comprehend technical drawings and concepts.
• A natural curiosity and eagerness to learn about product functionality and integration into customer systems.
• Comfort with understanding how mechanical systems, electronic hardware, and software technologies collaborate in customer applications.
• Basic familiarity with technical concepts such as programming logic, automation, or systems integration; hands-on experiences like 3D printing, CNC, or robotics are advantageous.
