This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Oversee and enhance OEM partnerships through a consultative, solution-focused sales approach.
• Cultivate relationships within our customers' organizations, including Commodity Managers, Buyers, Engineers, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Discover new opportunities within current accounts via up-selling and cross-selling strategies.
• Identify and develop new client relationships in target markets.
• Act as the main commercial contact for assigned accounts.
• Collaborate closely with field application engineers, engineering teams, and internal departments to address customer challenges.
• Lead and coordinate complex commercial negotiations.
• Create and implement account strategies that align with business and sales goals.
• Convert account strategies into actionable project plans.
• Maintain comprehensive customer maps and manage relationships with key stakeholders (buyers, engineers, commodity managers, etc.).
• Travel to client locations, industry events, and trade exhibitions as required.
• Conduct market and competitive analysis, sharing findings with internal teams.
• Develop annual forecasts, account plans, and sales documentation.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive communication and follow-up.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• At least 5 years of experience in outside B2B sales (OEM or industrial preferred).
• Demonstrated success in selling technical or engineered products.
• Experience in managing lengthy sales cycles and navigating complex customer organizations.
• Working knowledge of and connections within the agricultural sector.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to comprehend drawings and technical concepts.
• Inherently curious and eager to understand product functionality and integration into customer systems.
• Comfortable with understanding how mechanical systems, electronic hardware, and software technologies interact in customer applications.
• Familiarity with basic technical concepts such as programming logic, automation, or systems integration; hands-on hobbies like 3D printing, CNC, or robotics are advantageous.
