This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.
• Design and execute comprehensive sales strategies aimed at expanding and managing a business portfolio to foster profitable growth.
• Oversee the designated territory, focusing on business development while utilizing performance metrics to formulate annual plans and manage territorial performance.
• Perform thorough diagnostics of agencies to evaluate performance and pinpoint growth opportunities.
• Organize agency appointments and cultivate long-term relationships through both in-person and virtual office visits.
• Identify, onboard, and establish performance goals for new agencies, providing necessary training and support.
• May conduct pre-qualifications of accounts as needed.
• Persuade agency partners through adept communication and negotiation skills.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams, such as Product and Underwriting, to align sales strategies with business goals.
• Comprehend the focus of Travelers Enterprise and identify opportunities for cross-selling Travelers products by engaging with business partners in other lines.
• May recognize opportunities for book transfers.
• Acquire knowledge of competitor products and capabilities as well as local market trends.
• Employ advanced data analytics for sales decision-making and performance evaluation, leveraging extensive familiarity with Travelers' systems and platforms to support the sales process.
• Utilize AI technologies to refine industry processes, enhance decision-making, and foster innovation, while remaining adaptable to emerging AI trends and tools.
• Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, business, or a related field.
• A minimum of four years of experience in insurance sales or a related field, managing a book of business, driving significant sales growth, meeting sales targets, conducting agency diagnostics, and utilizing digital sales tools.
• Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation (or a willingness to pursue it).
• In-depth knowledge of Travelers products and the general Property & Casualty marketplace.
• Strong influencing and negotiation abilities to motivate agency partners to adopt Travelers products and services.
• Demonstrated capacity to build and sustain collaborative relationships with a diverse array of stakeholders, both internally and externally.
• Robust analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Capability to set objectives and priorities, successfully achieving these within designated timelines.
• Exceptional organizational talents to manage complex tasks and prioritize effectively to meet sales targets and deadlines.
