This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Formulate and implement a territory strategy across designated western states.
• Create new opportunities through targeted outbound outreach, referrals, conferences, and building executive relationships.
• Foster connections with Departments of Corrections, Departments of Labor, Departments of Education, State Departments of Juvenile Justice, higher education institutions, and other public entities.
• Manage the entire sales lifecycle—from prospecting and relationship cultivation to contract award and closure.
• Navigate government procurement procedures, RFPs, pilot programs, and contract negotiations.
• Craft persuasive business cases that highlight educational, operational, and financial benefits.
• Inform customers through a consultative sales methodology, establishing Orijin as a reliable long-term partner.
• Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Government Relations, Customer Success, and executive leadership during the sales process.
• Participate in industry conferences, customer meetings, and networking activities.
• A minimum of five years of experience in enterprise, government, or public sector sales.
• Proven track record in managing and closing intricate consultative sales cycles, ideally with state or local government agencies.
• Demonstrated capability to establish executive-level relationships and navigate multi-stakeholder purchasing and procurement processes.
• Strong discipline in CRM usage, along with skills in forecasting and pipeline management.
• Willingness to travel approximately 50% within the assigned territory, including visits to correctional facilities.
