This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan.
• Actively pursuing and cultivating new business opportunities.
• Providing technical consultation to clients regarding 10x Genomics’ spatial solutions.
• Managing the sales funnel with a strong emphasis on prospecting and closing deals.
• Committing to thorough territory planning and maintaining market awareness, along with accurate and timely forecasting.
• Creating and overseeing a business plan aimed at achieving or surpassing business objectives for the territory.
• Grasping the scientific project and business requirements of customers to secure business deals.
• Effectively managing the sales process, including pipeline management and sales tracking utilizing the CRM system and other designated IT tools.
• Keeping up-to-date with the latest developments in genetic analysis markets, products, and purchasing behaviors necessary to compete successfully in the assigned territory.
• Leveraging product and application expertise across the genetic analysis portfolio to deliver impactful sales presentations.
• Ensuring complete customer satisfaction while representing 10x Genomics in a professional, ethical, and moral manner at all times.
• Demonstrated success in selling high-value capital equipment within the Life Sciences sector.
• Relevant skills essential for a Spatial/In-Situ field sales position (i.e., at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field; or equivalent knowledge and experience).
• Prior sales experience in Life Sciences, specifically with capital equipment.
• Strong motivation to secure business and build long-lasting customer relationships.
• Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time.
• Proficient in English and Japanese language skills.
