This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Lead comprehensive technical discussions during client meetings, pitches, and product demonstrations, effectively translating product features (e.g., Yield Manager, Prebid solutions) into tangible business value.
• Capable of independently conducting technical workshops and discovery sessions without the need for sales support.
• Manage the entire RFI/RFP process, developing and upholding a structured response framework from scratch to ensure precision, consistency, and timely submissions.
• Perform thorough pre-sales assessments to evaluate client requirements, define integration needs, scope the complexity of projects, and avoid pursuing non-viable proposals.
• Guarantee a seamless technical transition of new clients to the Customer Success and Technical Account Management teams by documenting all pre-sales commitments, custom requirements, and technical prerequisites.
• Maintain an in-depth and up-to-date understanding of Assertive Yield's complete product suite and the wider publisher monetization landscape, including header bidding, ad servers, SSPs, identity solutions, and industry standards.
• Serve as an internal consultant to ensure the effective execution of onboarding initiatives across various cross-functional teams.
• Identify and promote best practices to enhance customer performance and retention.
• Sustain a structured pre-sales feedback loop with Product and Engineering to directly shape Assertive Yield's roadmap based on patterns observed throughout the sales cycle.
• Over 8 years of experience in a pre-sales, Solutions Engineering, or Technical Account Management capacity within ad tech or publisher monetization.
• Extensive practical knowledge of the digital advertising ecosystem, including header bidding (Prebid.js, server-side/S2S configurations, and wrapper management), Google Ad Manager, and SSP integrations.
• Acquainted with identity solutions (UID2, RampID, Topics API) and their quantifiable impact on publisher yield.
• Understanding of CMP and consent frameworks (TCF 2.x, CCPA) and their downstream implications on auction dynamics and fill rates.
• Prior direct experience working with or closely with a publisher, SSP, or yield management platform, with a solid grasp of traffic shaping, bid density optimization, and auction dynamics concepts central to Assertive Yield's core product.
• Basic scripting skills in Python or JavaScript sufficient to validate integrations, analyze data, or create lightweight proof-of-concept demonstrations.
• Familiarity with ad-quality and brand-safety tools (e.g., Protected Media, Confiant).
• Experience in competitive landscape analysis across yield optimization platforms.
• Exceptional ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical audiences (Ad Ops) and non-technical stakeholders (C-suite).
• Strong organizational abilities, capable of managing multiple RFI/RFP processes simultaneously, with a proven track record of creating response frameworks rather than just contributing to existing ones.
