This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Assess military and defense prospects, determining the most suitable Chromalloy location to aid in business case creation and proposal initiatives.
• Oversee the preparation, evaluation, and submission of Source Approval Request (SAR) packages along with associated technical documents for government entities.
• Direct technical responses and engineering dialogues in support of military engine platforms and client needs.
• Develop and uphold processes to prioritize opportunities, facilitate New Product Introduction (NPI) efforts, and create persuasive business cases.
• Create and sustain a centralized database of military technical information and program insights across Chromalloy locations.
• Act as a representative for Chromalloy during client visits, military trade fairs, defense exhibitions, and industry conferences.
• Assist in business development initiatives through technical presentations, demonstrations, and client briefings.
• Offer technical assistance for quality investigations, client queries, and program-related issues.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, quality, and commercial teams to fulfill military program goals.
• Ensure adherence to governmental regulations, export control mandates, and defense procurement standards.
• A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a similar technical discipline.
• Over 10 years of progressive experience in aerospace or industrial gas turbine engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in support of military or defense programs.
• In-depth knowledge of DoD Source Approval Request (SAR) and Product Change Request (PCR) procedures.
• Experience collaborating with the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), independent engine maintenance depots, and/or foreign military entities.
• Familiarity with aero-engine maintenance, repair procedures, component life cycles, and failure modes.
• Capability to influence cross-functional teams and propel military program objectives.
• Excellent technical, analytical, communication, and presentation abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Work directly contributes to aviation safety and reliability.
