This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania, +1 more state.
• Collaborate with and assist the Pandrol Americas sales team to enhance sales of the Track Mounted Equipment product line.
• Present and advocate for Pandrol products and services with a focus on technical and engineering aspects.
• Promote Pandrol’s expertise, development, design, and commitment to quality.
• Build customer relationships and deliver high-quality service.
• Expand and maintain existing accounts by offering new solutions and services.
• Assist in the technical evaluation and documentation of customer requirements.
• Assess product compatibility with customer needs.
• Prepare quotation proposals for approval and management.
• Collaborate with technical staff and internal teams to fulfill customer requirements.
• Represent products and the company at exhibitions within the USA and Canada.
• Provide technical support prior to and following product sales.
• Conduct reviews of contracts and orders in accordance with company protocols.
• Manage opportunities in the CRM system and keep leads updated with probability, value, and forecast conversion dates.
• Navigate opportunities through to closure and maximize conversion rates.
• Address objections and work towards favorable resolutions.
• Organize and engage in internal and external client debriefs.
• Assist in larger quotation applications through the SCAA process.
• Support the setting of the annual and biannual sales budget using market intelligence gathered from customer contacts.
• Conduct conference calls across global time zones, including Europe and New Zealand, with occasional evening commitments on weekdays.
• Technical experience within the rail industry is essential.
• Experience in railway signaling and/or track is advantageous.
• Educated to degree level in Engineering, preferably in mechanical or civil engineering, or have an equivalent qualification from a recognized professional body.
• Ability to represent and promote Pandrol (Vortok) products to both existing and prospective customers.
• Capability to articulate technical product features and convey the value proposition effectively.
• Fluent in English.
• Mechanical aptitude for demonstrating products in a railway track setting.
• Proven ability to establish, nurture, and sustain customer relationships.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Competence in chairing meetings and interpreting, creating, and presenting technical and commercial documents.
• Ability to read, interpret, and analyze engineering documentation, including drawings, models, standards, and procurement specifications.
• Ability to foster positive working relationships with stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Possession of a full driver’s license.
• Familiarity with manufacturing environments involving fabricated, cast, and composite parts is desirable.
