This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malaysia.
• Collaborate directly with customers, partners, and sales leadership to successfully close deals.
• Utilize extensive sales expertise and enterprise technology knowledge on a daily basis.
• Work closely with the global sales team to allocate resources effectively to achieve targets.
• Identify client challenges and requirements, providing tailored solutions.
• Effectively manage stakeholders at all levels, including CIOs, CTOs, CXOs, and DBAs.
• Possess experience in channel sales, ranging from ISVs to vendors and consultancies.
• Travel as necessary to support sales initiatives, develop opportunities, engineer solutions, and facilitate deal closures.
• Attend conferences and manage booth operations when required.
• 8 to 10 years of practical experience as a Senior Sales Engineer.
• Strong skills in Database or Database Architecture (MariaDB or MySQL preferred, with good knowledge of Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server).
• Familiarity with in-memory compute platforms, such as Redis and Apache Ignite, is advantageous.
• A working knowledge of various databases and open-source technologies.
• Experience working on intricate customer Proof of Concept (PoC) projects.
• Proven track record of collaborating with customer success and field teams in customer engagement efforts.
• Willingness and ability to travel as necessary, including working outside regular hours when required.
• Exceptional communication skills and highly organized.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Fundamental understanding of programming languages, web stack technologies, Linux, AI development, etc.
• Experience working fully remotely with occasional regional travel as needed.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is essential; proficiency in additional regional languages is a plus.
• Flexibility to travel up to 40% of the time (valid passport required).
