This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Collaborate with mid-market and major GTM Sales and Account Management teams to lead pre-sales discovery, evaluate client needs for new and expansion opportunities, and provide focused demonstrations that confirm platform capabilities, integration workflows, and technical requirements.
• Tailor and present solutions through customized demonstrations that align with client-specific needs, articulating technical capabilities and business impact to further deal opportunities.
• Record finalized scoped requirements and solutions, transitioning them to the Implementation Project Manager to kickstart onboarding.
• Conduct knowledge transfer sessions with Project Managers and cross-functional teams to facilitate a smooth client transition from pre-sales to implementation.
• Act as a subject matter expert on all frequently sold background screening products, services, solutions, platforms, and supported partner integrations.
• Work with cross-functional teams to clarify client requirements, identify gaps, and inform product enhancement roadmaps by converting technical constraints into actionable recommendations.
• Enhance sales engineering scalability by contributing to best practices and process improvements across discovery, solution design, and demonstrations.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (Business, Engineering, or similar) or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in services sales/pre-sales, business development, product management, consulting, or related roles.
• Extensive knowledge of pre-employment background screening products and services (e.g., criminal screening, drug testing, and occupational screening including DOT and random screening).
• Understanding of I9/E-Verify concepts and common integrations with applicant tracking systems (e.g., Workday, iCIMS, Oracle Recruiting, etc.).
• Strong grasp of regulatory considerations for screening programs; experience in healthcare, transportation, and/or financial services is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated success in selling and scoping business process solutions.
• Practical experience in documenting customer needs and requirements (e.g., scoping and design requirements, proposals, Statements of Work, or Product Requirements documents).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to analyze client issues and identify comprehensive solutions.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong business acumen and the ability to convert technical capabilities into measurable business value.
• Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies is highly desirable.
