This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Accompany GTM teams to agency locations across the United States, acting as the technical lead in the pursuit of new government contracts.
• Conduct discovery sessions with agency leaders, program offices, and technical personnel to outline mission workflows, data environments, and limitations — then convert these insights into actionable solution designs.
• Create and present engaging demonstrations, proofs of concept, and tailored technical proposals that address each agency's specific mission challenges.
• Manage the technical storyline throughout the deal lifecycle: including solution architecture, security and compliance requirements (FedRAMP, ATO processes, data governance), integration planning, and success criteria for pilots.
• Assist in capture and proposal activities by providing technical volumes, responses to RFIs/RFPs, and architecture documentation.
• Collaborate with Deployed Engineering to ensure that what we sell aligns with what we deliver — and that pilots transition to long-term production implementations.
• Relay customer insights back into product development: identifying deal blockers, understanding what resonates with agencies, and pinpointing future mission opportunities.
• Contribute to the development of the government sales engineering playbook from scratch — including demo environments, technical materials, and standardized POC frameworks.
• You have over 5 years of experience in sales engineering, solutions architecture, forward-deployed engineering, or a comparable customer-facing technical position.
• You possess experience selling to the US public sector — federal, state, or local — with a solid understanding of government procurement, contract mechanisms, and security/compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, IL levels, ATO).
• You have the technical expertise necessary to engage credibly with agency engineers and CIOs: comfortable discussing AI/ML systems, APIs, data integration, and government cloud environments.
• You are hands-on and capable of building: able to set up a demo, script a prototype, or troubleshoot a POC independently.
• You are an effective communicator who can simplify complex AI capabilities into clear mission value for agency executives and program managers.
• You are enthusiastic about traveling extensively across the US — you thrive in field settings alongside customers.
• You are driven to take ownership of problems from start to finish and are willing to acquire any necessary knowledge to accomplish your objectives.
• Expect regular travel (~50%) to government partners and Brain Co. offices.
• Competitive salary plus equity.
• Daily lunches provided.
• Commuter benefits available.
• 401(k) plan.
• Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage.
• Unlimited Paid Time Off (PTO).
