Sales Engineer 3

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Offers direct pricing and design assistance to both internal and external clients

• Utilizes expertise in structures, materials, and construction methods

• Prepares calculations and engineering specifications

• Delivers precise and comprehensible designs that comply with code standards

• Provides thorough consultation to Builders, Field Sales teams, and Estimators

• Identifies exclusions and discrepancies, and seeks clarification when needed

• Analyzes customer-supplied information for cost-effective solutions

• Develops and sustains relationships with Builders and Vendors

• Conducts training sessions for the Builder Network and Field Sales personnel

• Engages in communication with Builders, Sales, Customer Service, and Engineering

• Performs and/or reviews complex estimates independently

• Strives for continuous improvement in productivity, accuracy, and capability

• Enhances engineering knowledge in pursuit of a Professional Engineering License

⛳️ Requirements

• Sales Engineer II with a Licensed Professional Engineer designation preferred

• At least 4 years of experience in metal building design or a related field

• Comprehensive knowledge of Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings (PEMB), including products and design factors

• Capable of training and mentoring junior Sales Engineers and Estimators

• Provides initial design for estimating Requests for Building Modifications (RBMs)

• Acts as an engineering consultant in sales meetings on behalf of the company

• Sales Engineer III with a Licensed Professional Engineer designation required

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in metal building design or a related field
