This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.
• Take ownership and develop a personal book of business within the Technology & IT staffing sector.
• Create and implement sales strategies aimed at boosting revenue and expanding the client portfolio.
• Seek out and engage new business opportunities through market analysis, lead generation, networking, referrals, and prospecting.
• Cultivate relationships with decision-makers and hiring authorities within technology, IT, digital, product, data, cloud, and associated organizations.
• Research and pinpoint a Focus 50 client list, targeting key clients and regions using company tools, AI, and reporting systems.
• Provide strategic staffing and workforce solutions that align with client hiring requirements.
• Negotiate and finalize new business deals while identifying cross-selling opportunities.
• Achieve or surpass sales, activity, revenue, gross margin, and KPI objectives.
• Oversee, mentor, and develop a small team of Business Development Managers.
• Set goals, KPIs, and performance expectations, holding the team accountable for meeting them.
• Guide the team in areas such as prospecting, pipeline development, account strategy, negotiations, and closing.
• Promote a collaborative, entrepreneurial, and performance-focused culture.
• Act as the strategic partner and primary liaison for assigned client accounts.
• Propel sales and account growth with both new and existing clients.
• Engage in client intake discussions and manage communication throughout the recruiting lifecycle.
• Discover opportunities to increase job order volume and extend services into IT staffing, technology consulting, project-based workforce solutions, and AI-driven talent needs.
• Collaborate with recruiting teams to establish talent pipelines for specialized Technology & IT roles.
• Assess and approve candidates for client submission when suitable.
• Monitor submittal, interview, placement, and onboarding activities.
• Utilize AI-enabled recruiting and sales workflows to enhance sourcing, outreach, matching, pipeline management, and overall efficiency.
• Ensure accurate records of job, client, candidate, and placement information in Bullhorn and internal systems.
• Manage job entry, client intake, submissions, interview coordination, offers, locks, and assignment updates as necessary.
• Address timecard, assignment, and account-related issues in collaboration with clients and internal teams.
• Perform quality check calls and maintain relationships with clients and placed talent.
• Leverage sales, market, and performance data to enhance revenue, service delivery, and account penetration.
• Stay updated on staffing, technology, digital transformation, AI, automation, data, cloud, and emerging technology trends.

• At least 5+ years of experience in business development and sales, preferably in the staffing industry.
• A minimum of 1+ years of leadership or management experience, ideally in staffing.
• Proven success in building and growing a staffing book of business while consistently achieving or surpassing sales targets.
• Preference for experience within IT staffing, technology staffing, technology consulting, digital, data, cloud, product, engineering, AI, or related technology talent and workforce solutions.
• A well-established network of client and/or direct hiring manager relationships within relevant industries is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of the staffing and recruitment lifecycle, including contingent and contract staffing.
• Experience in selling consultative, solutions-oriented engagements preferred.
• Familiarity with AI, automation, data, analytics, cloud, or emerging technology solutions is a significant differentiator.
• Experience in managing and developing sales professionals in a KPI-driven environment.
• Demonstrated capability to secure new clients, enhance existing relationships, and increase revenue.
• Exceptional communication, relationship-building, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to balance individual contributions with team leadership.
• An entrepreneurial and hands-on mindset, capable of thriving in a fast-paced and growth-oriented setting.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
