Sales Director, Product Specialists – Smart Trailers

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Recruit and manage a high-performing, inclusive, and engaged team of 6-8 exceptional account executives to meet quarterly objectives.

• Deliver both onboarding and continuous support to ensure the team's readiness, development, and professional growth.

• Cultivate strong relationships with Mainline Account Executives and leaders, along with Specialist Sales Engineers, to enhance team selling strategies and conversion rates.

• Closely monitor the sales pipeline and collaborate with Mainline owners and Account Development Representatives to devise account plans targeting whitespace opportunities.

• Collaborate across departments including product, marketing, and strategy to swiftly address challenges and optimize the go-to-market approach for your new product.

• Advocate for and exemplify Samsara’s cultural principles as we expand Specialist support on a global scale.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of sales experience, demonstrating a successful track record in managing a complex sales process from prospecting to closing.

• At least 3 years of experience in team management.

• Proven history of exceeding sales targets with experience in coaching teams on outbound initiatives.

• Comprehensive understanding of complex sales cycles that involve multiple decision-makers, various products, and extended timelines.

• Exceptional communication skills and comfort in public speaking.

• Experience in either overlay or new product launch sales.

• Background in collaborating with Product and Marketing teams to impact go-to-market strategies.

• Ability to work strategically alongside senior Account Executives and account teams.

• Proficiency with Salesforce, Claude, Gong, and other essential sales tools.

• Familiarity with MEDDPICC and/or Command of the Message sales frameworks.
